How Long Do You Keep Your New Year's Resolutions:

One day, One week, One month and then you go back to your old ways or do you stick with it?

Did you know that about 80% of people give up on their New Year's resolutions within the next 15 days?

So that this does not happen to you and fulfill them in 2023, here are some tips:

  1. Stay true to each of the changes and repeat them for 30 days - studies show that 1 month is the time needed for an action to become a habit.
  2. Write your resolutions in a visible place (there are magnetic sheets that stick to the walls without glue) and read them every day so you don't forget them. Celebrate all your small daily victories.
  3. Share your resolutions with those closest to you - if you talk about them to someone close, you create a commitment and make that person your accomplice.
  4. Do not try to change everything at once: maybe giving up smoking, drinking coffee and alcohol, following a restrictive diet and going to the gym every day will be too ambitious and difficult goals to meet. Rather than being so radical and restrictive, embrace small changes or set multiple dates and deadlines for starting each one.
  5. Don't just take restrictive resolutions: you may want to save money, but always leave some aside for outings and activities that bring you some joy or satisfaction. 
  6. Don't forget yourself: deciding to spend more time with family and friends and never leaving time for yourself, the most important person in your life, is not a good idea and will leave you frustrated. Put yourself before others and leave for example an hour a day to read, go for a walk, meditate, have a massage or face mask...
  7. It doesn't hurt to change or adjust a resolution if you find it to be bad for your mind or your well-being; be fair and evaluate the cost-benefit well.
  8. Don't make resolutions that are impossible to fulfill: losing 10 kg in 2 months is unrealistic and could even be dangerous, don't you think?
  9. Set realistic goals: getting rid of all age-caused age spots in just 1 month will require a miracle. The positive results on your skin will depend on consistency and persistence in following the routine: apply the depigmentants every night and the sunscreen several times a day. '
  10. Take all the necessary measures so that complying with the measures is easy and not a punishment: if you never feel thirsty and it is difficult for you to drink  water, transform those 2 liters you promised to drink daily for tisanes, waters flavored with fresh fruit.
